A note about articles from The Advocate
An article from The Advocate may be released with one URL that will work, but later change so that the linked article is no longer valid.
If you can’t open an article from The Advocate that is linked in the lsufootball.net news section, you can go to their website and try and open it, or you can try to edit the URL.
A working link to an LSU article from The Advocate should start with one of these prefixes:

http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/
http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/featured/
I assume that they move articles to different directories and don’t have redirection commands enabled on their server. Whatever the reason, I'm done with going back to recheck their links every day.
